Room 2
Older Infants: 14 months to 24 months

The 14 month to 24 month area is designed for 12 children with 2 primary caregivers. This allows for a maximum child to caregiver ratio of 1:6. Children will be cared for by the same caregiver each day. Developmentally appropriate activities and daily interaction with primary caregivers will offer expanding activities for the children. The activities and level of participation will be based on the child's interest and developmental stage.

Your child will be assigned a specific crib or cot for daily use and you may bring a blanket which will be sent home weekly for cleaning. A nutritious morning and afternoon snack will be served and will include two of the four basic food groups. Lunch is provided by parents. The center provides milk.

Parents will be required to supply disposable diapers or pull-ups for their child. Each child will be assigned a cubby for his/her items. The center will supply one brand of wipes for all children. If these wipes cannot be used on your child please notify the center immediately. You may then choose to supply your own disposable wipes. Caregivers are required to wear gloves, wash their hands, and clean the changing area after each diaper change. In accordance with accepted Communicable Disease practices, all changing of diapers will be at the changing station. Three extra changes of clothing should be kept at the center. Soiled clothing will be placed in a plastic bag and then in the child's cubby to be taken home for washing. Any special needs should be brought to the attention of the center as soon as possible. A daily information sheet will be used to record your child's day.
